Open Clearing was born from a simple idea: payments should be fairer, faster, and easier for everyone. Our founders have spent their careers delivering large-scale payment systems – from building the core Bacs and Faster Payments platforms, which move billions every day and form part of the UK’s critical national infrastructure, to helping a fintech grow from an idea to £6.5bn Assets under Management in less than five years.

Along the way, we saw first-hand how small businesses were being left behind by costly, outdated card networks. That’s why we created Open Clearing – to give micro-businesses, retailers, and entrepreneurs the same powerful payment technology once reserved for big banks, but at a fraction of the cost.

Our mission is simple: help merchants keep more of what they earn, improve cash flow, and give customers a seamless way to pay. And we’re guided by the values that matter most – trust, innovation, and putting merchants first.
